During August to September, the Great Migration in Tanzania is a breathtaking spectacle as vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles make their way across the Mara River into the northern Serengeti. This period is marked by dramatic river crossings, where the animals face the peril of strong currents and lurking predators like crocodiles. The lush green pastures of the northern Serengeti provide a temporary haven for the herds, offering a spectacular display of wildlife in action. Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania stay at African Tulip Hotel

Arrival in Tanzania, our staff will pick you up at Kilimanjaro international Airport and transfer to Arusha where you will have overnight at African Tulip hotel in Arusha. On your arrival at the hotel you will be given briefing about your Safari with your Driver guide or Office representative.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will descent into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with picnic lunch) within Ngorongoro Crater on world Heritage site holding a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals. As only very few of those migrate in and out of crater with its 2000 ft, high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. The crater is also home of the rare black rhino almost extinct in Tanzania. With a bit of luck you will see the “Big Five” during the game drive and later will drive to your lodge at Ngorongoro serena lodge

Day 3: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you start you way to Serengeti National Park. A picnic Lunch will be provided. On your way you wall stop at the Olduvai Gorge where the anthropologists Lois and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originate in Africa. 

After stopping for your picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) in Serengeti you will continue further into the park and go on a game drive. Overnight at Serengeti Acacia camp

Day 4: Full day game drive Great Serengeti migration 

You will leave early in the morning after breakfast for a full day game viewing. You will spend the day following the great migration of the wildebeests and Zebras. This is where you will witness the wildebeest’s migration crossing River Mara as seen on TV in the Discovery Channel. The majestic landscape of the northern Serengeti is one of the best kept secrets of African safaris. Far from the tourists track, the area offers undisturbed exploration of the fantastic Serengeti. Endless rolling plains and reverie woodlands are home to Lion, Leopards, Cheetahs, Elephants, large herds of antelopes and many other animals. The stunning Mara River filled with Hippos and Crocodiles, cuts through this land and hosts of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer. In the evening you will return to your overnight at Migrations camp

Day 5: Full day in Serengeti migration routine

You will have breakfast at the lodge before we embark on an early morning game drive in the park. The migration, consisting of around 2 million animals, is on the move all year round. Depending on the season you may see these impressive phenomena.
Naturally it is also attract a mass of predators and you may be able to see a band of lioness gather for hunt. You will return to a lodge for a lunch to gather strength for the afternoon game drive overnight at Migrations camp

Day 6: Serengeti and fly from koga tende..

Today you will have a morning game drive until after noon you will have your lunch at the picnic and later fly out to Kilimanjaro airport or Zanzibar.
