3 Days Explore Full Zanzibar Island

Zanzibar is located in the Indian Ocean, 36 km off the coast of mainland Tanzania. The term “Zanzibar” officially refers to the archipelago that includes the main islands of Unguja and Pemba, along with about 50 smaller isles. It is an island state within the United Republic of Tanzania, with its own semi-autonomous government comprising a Revolutionary Council and a House of Representatives.
Historically, Zanzibar was the trading hub of East Africa, attracting various civilizations such as the Sumerians, Assyrians, Phoenicians, Arabs, Chinese, and Malays. Renowned explorers like Burton, Speke, Livingstone, and Krapf embarked on their journeys from Zanzibar’s shores. The island is known for its stunning sandy beaches, coral reefs, clear blue waters, picturesque islands, excellent snorkeling and diving spots, as well as deep-sea fishing and other water sports.
Stone Town, with its narrow winding streets, lively markets, and colorful bazaars, offers a fascinating cultural experience. Zanzibar, often called the “Spice Island,” is famous for its production of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom, pepper, and other spices.
